Prepare yourself for another epic twelve hour session, as some of the greatest US DJ legends supply exclusive sets whilst many of The Hacienda’s finest residents play out from our secret lockdown studio straight out of the Greater Manchester region. I am honoured to be one of those residents and will be streaming live from 3pm – 4pm (BST).
It is a massive, massive honour to have been invited to provide a 30 minute Quarantine and Chill mix on a We Out Here festival tip for Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide FM. Oh and as always – there’s a message in my music. Stay Home. Protect the NHS. Save lives. And love one another.
Last week I had the honour and the joy of joining my friends at Pxssy Palace and BBZ London for an Isolation Boiler Room session.Move the furniture back, turn the lights down and fire up the smoke machine. This is how it goes down when we rave at home alone 😀 …
Welcome to ‘BUSHY’S QUARANTINE AND CHILL MIX’ – it’s streaming for you now on Mixcloud. From the bedroom to the bathroom, from the kitchen to your yard, you’ll find that it’s funky, soulful, jazzy and will have you dancing in no time at all. Quarantini anyone?

A short while ago (which feels like a lifetime now) I met up with the wonderful Cherrelle Redley and her razor sharp team from FREEDA to be interviewed for their gorgeous website. They have created this wonderful interview clip which achieved 13,000 views in two days of posting. I am proud of that.

A message from Mayor Andy Burnham re: United We Stream (GM) launching tonight 03/04/2020. Too exciting for words.
For my last ‘in studio’ show before the World got quarantined I was honoured to welcome the super talented, multi instrumentalist, dj, singer, producer and personification of zen – Pops Roberts to take control of my Reform Radio Takeover and this is how it sounds. Just beautiful. Enjoy. Stay safe. Stay home. Save lives. Stay connected.
I am honoured to be in the line up for the inaugural week of UNITED WE STREAM alongside Gareth Brooks, Solardo, comedian Justin Morehouse and poet Tony Walsh amongst others. My vibe? Expect some house, disco and some sleazy tech
My #InternationalWomensDay #InternationalWomensWeek Paulette Takeover show on Reform Radio will now be co-hosted #live by the ridiculously talented and mind-blowingly humble dj / producer / So Flute’s MC and multi-instrumentalist Pops Roberts. She’ll be chatting, selecting and mixing live in studio for the top hour of the show #blackwomanmagic #vibeislive #keepitlocal #suffragettecity .
It is a rare occasion when the planets align in such a way that a great party, its solid line up and a banging set in a banging room is captured live for diffusion later. Here is the opening of my set from Homoelectric at Hidden, February 8, 2020 just for you.
Some awesome news for us all at Reform Radio, as they announce their first global Ambassador … read on.
Calling all party people. Here are your set times for Homoelectric at Hidden 08022020.
The Paulette Takeover continues apace from winter into summer every fourth Thursday from 3pm – 5pm (GMT) on Reform Radio. This week, I’ve been a busy little Manchester bee securing some ridiculously AAA-listed talent for my special guest mixes for the coming months. In keeping with my crusade since I started booking guests for my show, their styles are diverse, the roster is inclusive and each artist is a legend in their own right.
Homoelectric returns to its spiritual home at Hidden in Manchester for bass buggin spiritual outer space voodoo dancing. Homoelectric is for Homos, Lesbos, Don’t knows and Disko Asbos. Music is life. It’s been a while. I’m so ready to get saucy on that top floor…
Get sober. Stay fresh. Keep moving. Clubs / bars, brands and brewers are getting positively behind non-drinkers here in Manchester. Join us for a free daytime festival at Wilson’s Social The Low & No Festival – Free Entry on Saturday January 25th from midday till 5pm. Then roll with me to The Pen and Pencil from 8pm – 2am for seven hours of disco, funk and soul classics that will remind you what your dancing feet are for.
2020 is looking pretty special already. Save the date. I’ll see you on a dancefloor somewhere soon.
Seems to be the month for compliments. 2020 is looking like it’s going to be a pretty special year.
Here is my last Reform Radio show of 2019 – ringing out the old by bringing in the new talent and the man called Mr Redley. Happy New Year to you, you special human being. Thanks to all the djs, labels, producers and most all thanks to you for all your support throughout 2019 – Here’s to a new decade that is brimming with blessings and positive vibes for each and every one of us. January’s guest mixer is Juliet Sikora. You see what I just did there? …
This New Year’s Eve (Tuesday December 31st, 2019 to be precise) I’m keeping it local, ringing out the old and bringing in the New at the wonderful Lead Station in Chorlton. I’ll be on the decks from 7pm till 1pm.
Come and celebrate the holidays with BLEND – we’re having a Mad Friday at YES.
Join us on Friday December 20th for a Big Christmas (decorations and all) do in the basement – and get it done, right festive-like with two local legends, DJ Paulette and Stuart Richards (and not one Christmas tune in earshot) …
In Gabriel Szatan’s own words: And it’s a testament to Mancunian hardiness that hundreds brave the arctic conditions to cavort to local hero DJ Paulette doling out fruity house numbers on an alfresco terrace.
Eleven months into the year and there is no sign of letting up for the Paulette Takeover on Reform Radio. For November (Movember) I invited my first male guest in months … Mr James Curd … to take the controls for the first hour and here’s how it went down.
And finally – @homobloc @depotatmayfield it’s nearly show time so here are the all essential set times. Come ready to party inside and outside, bring dancing shoes and manifest sunshine. Last entry is at 5.30pm so don’t delay. See you on the dance floor.
Earlier this week I had my picture taken by @davidoldhamphoto for his new exhibition’The Great And The Good’. All pictures are being auctioned and proceeds given to Mayor Andy Burnham’s Homelessness charity. Put in a bid!
Welcome to the second Paulette Takeover in August featuring a top of the show, fabulous guest mix from the God of UK rave, Mr Shoom himself – Danny Rampling.
After well received events in London, Liverpool, Bristol and Brighton this Summer, Urban Kingdom are holding one final pop-up event to celebrate the first edition of the groundbreaking book ‘Generation W’. Join us at a free entry daytime event in the birthplace of the Suffragette movement, Manchester. I’ll be closing the event with a short QnA.
A funny thing happened on my way through Deansgate the other week. I met up with the legendary Clint Boon for a natter about life, the world and the music universe for the prestigious Humans Of XS Manchester podcast. It went live today – Monday September 2nd, 2019 from 12 noon and can be found on @itunes @spotify and @acaststories
Yes it’s that time again – it’s the last Bank Holiday of the year (so we all get a long break just when we needed it), the sun is most definitely OUT and everything and everywhere in Manchester is draped, painted, themed and chimes with the clarion call of Gay Pride. This is not a drill – we’re here, we’re queer, so it would be rude not to get into it 😀
It’s time to roll up, roll up, dig deep, bed in and get down with your bad sel.ves on Friday August the 9th, as Paulette Does Techno at the cool AF Psychedelic Discotech session at The Carlton Club (Whalley Range).
My photo set status from Facebook goes a little way to recapturing the magic that was Bluedot. La Discotheque was LIT LIT LIT. I loved every minute of it.
Today – on Thursday 19th of July – I get the chance to tick ✅ something else off my bucket list when I appear as a guest on Mary Anne Hobbs @bbc6music Outside Broadcast for the @mifestival. She’ll be broadcasting live from Festival Square from 10am and I’ll be in studio around mid-day. I’ll be ‘live’ in the mix too …
Homobloc – Mayfield Depot, Manchester – November 9th, 2019. Making history. And then some. Tickets go on sale Thursday July 11th at 9am.
Friday July 5th – Festival Square has its big reveal, transforming Albert Square into an oasis of cool when it opens for 16 days of the best live music, great djs, food and drink and the big-hearted, warm, welcoming vibes that Manchester to offer (and has built its historic reputation upon). I am beyond giddy to be an integral part of the line up for the launch day / night’s spectacular party programme.
For the duration of the Manchester International Festival, Albert Square will be transformed into Festival Square, the home of the Festival in the heart of the city. Free live music and DJs, great food and drink, MIF tickets and more – open noon till late daily, 5–21 July, and always absolutely free.
I am really looking forward to speaking on this panel today and watching the two episodes #Work and #Dress of Pandora’s Box featuring the award winning Joan Bakewell. Event starts at 15.20 sharp!!
