DJ Magazine celebrates it’s first, new print copy with ‘Dance Music Is Black Music’ an issue with a 33 page cover section that sets out their pledge dedicated to fighting racism within their organisation and throughout the dance music industry and to more fully and fairly exploring the black experience across the spectrum of the music industry. ANZ and I have an isolation conversation about our experiences across the generations.

Award winning actor, activist, dj and all around beautiful person, Maxine Peake was the Guest Editor of the Culture section of Morning Star newspaper at the end of June. She invited me to write an opinion piece on how COVID and lockdown has affected my work and life. Here is my column.
I did an interview for NRTHLASS blog and it turned out like this. I am super proud of it because it covers past, present and future in a really beautiful way. Short read – ten minutes max. Enjoy.
This week The Guardian Fashion ran a cute feature written by Dino Bonačić and entitled: “Nightlife in quarantine: what club kids are wearing in lockdown” It contains a series of 10 short interviews and I am gassed to say that I am one of them.
The full three minute interview for FREEDA EN ‘For The Record’is now available on Youtube. Drop a like if you’re feeling it. Share it if you feel inspired. Whatever you feel … Enjoy.
A short while ago (which feels like a lifetime now) I met up with the wonderful Cherrelle Redley and her razor sharp team from FREEDA to be interviewed for their gorgeous website. They have created this wonderful interview clip which achieved 13,000 views in two days of posting. I am proud of that.

At the end of a very difficult week, this little chart arrived on my Twitter feed. Mixmag – your timing was perfect – thank you so much for including me in this list and amongst so many of my absolute icons and bad assed peers. Humbled.
I am honoured to be in the line up for the inaugural week of UNITED WE STREAM alongside Gareth Brooks, Solardo, comedian Justin Morehouse and poet Tony Walsh amongst others. My vibe? Expect some house, disco and some sleazy tech
Here’s a deep but quick read courtesy of Elephant Magazine (art publication). Thank you Arwa Haider for the love and the words and thank you Elephant for the platform to raise my rebel voice.
On March 12th I am honoured to welcome Nancy Noise (London) one of the true pioneers of acid and balearic house to the guest slot for International Women’s Day / Week / Month. Starting her career opening for the titan now known as Paul Oakenfold at Future and Spectrum in London and Amnesia in Ibiza. Fast forward to 2020 and you’ll see her headlining May Bank Holiday at The Refuge in Manchester.
Seems to be the month for compliments. 2020 is looking like it’s going to be a pretty special year.
In Gabriel Szatan’s own words: And it’s a testament to Mancunian hardiness that hundreds brave the arctic conditions to cavort to local hero DJ Paulette doling out fruity house numbers on an alfresco terrace.
Welcome to my #LuckySeven #GetOutOfJailFree cards feature for MN2S. It’s all about love and a lot of fun. Enjoy.
Kamila Rymajdo writes about Manchester’s thriving club scene and cites 10 of the best djs who she thinks should be on your radar. This article ran on Redbull Online February 2019.
Last Wednesday (October 3rd) I took part in the Skiddle Mental Health event that was held at Joshua Brookes. The focus of the discussion was a poll that Skiddle had commissioned, drawing some staggering statistics from a sample of events workers, organisations and promoters regarding the effects their work / jobs have on their mental health.
Here’s ‘Homecoming’ a short film supporting my cover feature by Matt T and Intern Magazine in association with Ace and Tate. I talk about music, family, fashion and Manchester. Promoting the launch party at the new Ace and Tate store in Manchester (02/08/2018) and the arrival of the new issue (limited edition run) of Intern magazine. Quick watch. Big heart. Proper read. Loads of love.
Here’s me waxing lyrical about life, the world and my dj universe in the May issue of DJ Magazine. Words by Carl Loben, Picture by Annapurna Mellor Photography.
Massive thanks to The A-Magazine for including me in their round up of Manchester Women Of The Year. It is a massive honour yet also very humbling to be considered in such esteemed company. I can’t lie, it feels so good to get some recognition for what I do, and especially in my hometown.
Here is a lovely Kamila Rymajdo interview that is online now at http://theskinny.co.uk – it’s about me, of course. And Manchester. And Pride.
