Yes it’s that time again – it’s the last Bank Holiday of the year (so we all get a long break just when we needed it), the sun is most definitely OUT and everything and everywhere in Manchester is draped, painted, themed and chimes with the clarion call of Gay Pride. This is not a drill – we’re here, we’re queer, so it would be rude not to get into it đ
There’s so much on offer in the city this weekend and I am happy to be playing at the following Pride events.
SATURDAY AUGUST 24TH
COME AS YOU ARE WEEKENDER – THE REFUGE (MANCHESTER)
Over 3 days & 3 nights, you can enjoy the finest street parties, DJs, LGBTQ+ film showings with Q&A, food, drink, music, dancing, basement club parties, together with unmissable performances by The Family Gorgeous members Anna Phylactic, Cheddar Gorgeous & Liquorice Black as well as Carmina Entertainment!
FROM 4PM TILL 5PM you can catch me spinning some tunes in the courtyard.
SUNDAY 25 AUGUST
ALBERT’S LOVE PARADE
From midday until 5pm, I’ll be putting the colour back into the faces of the Albert’s Schloss Saturday night / Sunday morning crew and energising the Sunday afternoon into Sunday night revellers with my sparkling selection of disco, soul and funky bubblers. Keeping the Pride flag flying, you can also enjoy some fruity games and lip syncing high jinks with our HIGH TEA WITH THE QUEENS session that runs throughout.
I’m taking my glitter bits and disco sparkle a bit further afield this weekend, so why not follow my rainbow to both ends of its arc and party with me in Liverpool and Todmorden too.

YARD PRESENTS PAULETTE PLUS SONIC YOOTHA
I’m twirling and swirling all the way to YARD in Liverpool for their huge August Bank Holiday Party.
The sun is out, my sunnies are on, the disco, funk and soul high kickers are on my USB key and I’m in the most immense and delicious disco sandwich with (Kylie’s favourites) the amazing Sonic Yootha as well as residents DJ Jimmy Allen and Michael Williams. HEDONISTA PRESENTS DJ PAULETTE
I have been waiting a long time for this party – Golden Lion, Todmorden – I AM COMING TO GETCHA!
From 9pm – 2am it’s a disco and house hedonism fest with myself, Isaac Samuels, Joe Burns and Joe Toolin at the controls. Expect pumpers, booty bumpers and plenty of glitter. Arrive early and just don’t ever leave …

It’s a long Bank Holiday weekend, the sun is out, try to be as lovely as possible to everyone you meet, party sensibly and safely and I wish a very Happy Pride and Bank Holiday to one and all.
