Great news. Even though we’re still in lockdown, I am over the moon to tell you that I am still making my debut for NYC Downlow at Glastonbury Festival this year. Perfectly socially distanced of course.
On March 12th I am honoured to welcome Nancy Noise (London) one of the true pioneers of acid and balearic house to the guest slot for International Women’s Day / Week / Month. Starting her career opening for the titan now known as Paul Oakenfold at Future and Spectrum in London and Amnesia in Ibiza. Fast forward to 2020 and you’ll see her headlining May Bank Holiday at The Refuge in Manchester.

Here is a slice of pure wonderful. February’s Paulette Takeover for Reform Radio features a guest mix from the ONLY female DJ so far to EVER win the coveted DJ Top 100 award. From the iconic after hours TRADE party in London to Glitterbox, from Space to Hi Ibiza, Jo has been showing the world how it is done since 1991. I mix live for the second hour and here’s what it sounded like.
I am buzzing to have been picked to join the squad for Glitterbox, which returns to Printworks, London on Saturday 7th March with another impressive offering of cutting edge production, DJs and disco extravaganza, with an original NYC ballroom twist. This party is now SOLD OUT please ONLY check Kaboodle for tickets for resale.
I’m honoured to be part of the line up for the inaugural party for Honey Dijon’s ‘Full Fantasy’ a London residency in association with Percolate, Pxssy Palace and Little Gay Brother which starts February 14th at Corsica Studios. Four parties, Four locations, Four opportunities to live your best life in a club and on the dancefloor. Tickets were available through Resident Advisor but PENETRATE is now SOLD OUT.
How about this for a Happy New Year curve ball? I’m bringing in my New Year with a cameo interview on Inside Track / Worklife on BBC News on Friday January 03rd, 2020.
On Friday December 27th, LHM and The Cause team up to celebrate three decades of London house on Friday Dec 27th. Some of the capital’s most important (and enduring) house DJs, pivotal in moulding our city’s house scene over the last thirty years will keep you entertained from 6pm until 6am. All DJs held residencies or ran some of London’s most seminal house nights.
Trump is coming to London in December for the NATO Heads of State summit, and on Tuesday 3rd December the Queen will be hosting a reception for him at Buckingham Palace. R3 Soundsystem will be taking to the streets that evening, to protest against the far-right politics of The Tories, Trump and Farage. RESIST. REJECT. REVOLT.

blast from the past... with @dj_paulette1 and @normanjaymbe back in 98 on the eve of a short lived but tremendous residency we all held together in the Eve Club on Regent Street... the thought of clubbing in the West End now feels like a bygone age... but this was a Thursday night and having DJ Paulette inside the press room at Phonogram at the time meant we could make good use of her contacts in the photography world.... so here @mrperou came through for us! Paulette was already well established back then as a pioneering DJ from Manchester who I’d managed to convince to come and boost the Talkin Loud soldiers at a time when @ronisizebristol and @louievega / @kdope50 ‘s Nu Yorican Soul @carlcraignet ‘s Innerzone Orchestra and 4 Hero were all unleashing some important works for the label....in reflection this was a golden age and Paulette was certainly a force to be reckoned with behind the decks teaching Norman and I a lesson or 10.... great to see Paulette is still roaming the planet with her box of musical delights and all round goodness... seeing her spinning at @weoutherefest was one of the highlights for me... she’ll be spinning at many of next summer’s festivals - make sure you catch her if you can!
In the words of Gilles Peterson: blast from the past… with @dj_paulette1 and @normanjaymbe back in 98 on the eve of a short lived but tremendous residency we all held together in the Eve Club on Regent Street… the thought of clubbing in the West End now feels like a bygone age
