The Paulette Takeover continues apace from winter into summer every fourth Thursday from 3pm – 5pm (GMT) on Reform Radio. This week, I’ve been a busy little Manchester bee securing some ridiculously AAA-listed talent for my special guest mixes for the coming months. In keeping with my crusade since I started booking guests for my show, their styles are diverse, the roster is inclusive and regardless of whether they are a new talent or an OG, each artist is a bad ass in their own right. Don’t believe me? Read on …

February 13th: Smokin Jo

smokin jo

One of the original UK female djs, Smokin Jo has been DJ’ing since 1990, was a cornerstone of the infamous Trade party, took Ibiza by storm (and called it her home) and now dazzles for Glitterbox and many others and is still the only woman to have ever won DJ magazine’s coveted DJ Of The Year Award.

March 12th : Colin Dale

colin dale

Colin Dale is one of the original UK Techno djs with a career spanning over 3 decades. To call Colin Dale “legendary” is no over-estimation……. here is a Dj that has been one of London’s most cutting edge Djs for over 20 years and still continues to surprise and marvel.

April 9th : Black Girl / White Girl

bgwg

I am honoured to welcome Karin and Ty back to the Reform Radio airwaves fresh from their starring appearance on ShadowChild’s show on Rinse FM. Producers, DJs, women on a global mission to take their unique style of house music to the masses.

May 7th: Luke Unabomber

luke unabomber

One half of DJ duo The Unabombers (otherwise known as Luke Cowdrey and Justin Crawford), Luke is behind three of Manchester’s most influential club nights, Electric Chair, Homoelectric and Homobloc, when he’s behind the decks his MO is mixing up high-voltage disco, house, techno, afro, hip-hop and Latin and when he is being sociable (and on his socials) he gives any racconteur a run for their money. He has been doing this for a bit more than a decade.

June 4th: Gina Breeze

gina breeze

Gina Breeze is a DJ / Producer and is one of the four residents of Homoelectric. She has had releases out on Classic, Sprechen, Defected and Viva. A sucker for percussion, expect raw heavy beats, sometimes minimal, blending house, disco, techno, acid and everything in between. Inspired by the stripped back dance floors or Berlin and NYC.

July 2nd: Michael Gray (Full Intention)

michael gray

Producer / DJ / Remixer and Mi-Soul Radio presenter, Michael Gray is also one half of Full Intention, the production / DJ duo behind a raft of classic and global chart-topping house tunes.

July 30th: Terry Farley

terry farley

Terry Farley is a bona fide UK house legend. He has produced some of house music’s most enduring cuts under various guises, including Roach Motel and Bocca Juniors, as well as with Pete Heller as Heller and Farley. A bastion of knowledge when it comes to acid and deep house, as well as dance culture, soul boy trends, and more besides, Terry is also much lauded for having launched house music fanzine (and label and party series) Boys Own with Andrew Weatherall, Cymon Eckel and Steve Mayes back in the day: it was something that very much went on to document and dictate the trends of the time.

As always the second hour is reserved for a live mix from yours truly, featuring the hottest (and my favourite) new sounds, labels, proects and producers, Save the dates. Lock in. Headphones or speakers on. Rave and repeat. And don’t forget to show us some love.

As for who’s keeping that August slot hot – well, that’s a secret.
