I did an interview for NRTHLASS blog and it turned out like this. I am super proud of it because it covers past, present and future in a really beautiful way. Short read – ten minutes max. Enjoy.
Last Wednesday (October 3rd) I took part in the Skiddle Mental Health event that was held at Joshua Brookes. The focus of the discussion was a poll that Skiddle had commissioned, drawing some staggering statistics from a sample of events workers, organisations and promoters regarding the effects their work / jobs have on their mental health.
On May 1st I took the plunge and swum 100 lengths of a 25 metre pool (thankyou Total Fitness, Whitefield) to raise money for the Guide Dogs Charity as part of their #Swim100 challenge.
I write poems, lyrics and songs. In poems my preferred format is haiku (yeah yeah short, yeah yeah lazy whatever) but I was moved to write a longer piece for a spoken word performance in a large group when I had a presentation for a job (which I eventually never used but I got the job and I will tell you about it in another post soon). This is my newest baby – it’s called ‘I Am The One’ and I am super proud of it.
2016 swings in with a bang … Twenty years of dj’ing and three cities have brought me to this place. I do not know what I am doing and I am not trained for this but that was the first time that I saved my motherās life.
Iām happy Iām home though. If my life was a jigsaw, my year end and New Year would be the missing piece of clear sky that you find in your lap when you stand up. Continue reading
