On May 1st I took the plunge and swam 100 lengths of a 25 metre pool (thankyou Total Fitness, Whitefield) to raise money for the Guide Dogs Charity as part of their #Swim100 challenge. It is my dream to raise £1000 (preferably more) for this organisation as it is reliant on private donations so every penny raised is gratefully received and invested in guide dog training, rearing and upkeep. Why Guide Dogs? The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. Guide Dogs empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

You will see a  ‘JustGiving’ button on my homepage that takes you to my JustGiving page if you wish to make a donation from here. All currencies and amounts are accepted and money goes directly to the Guide Dogs Association.
