Throughout the 80s, Manchester was the cradle of the underground ‘pop’ and ‘new wave’ music scene with artists like New Order, The Smiths and Simply Red. Buzzing and bubbling with this artistic hyperactivity, Manchester introduced its state of the art venue (via Ibiza), the mythical ‘Hacienda’. The Hacienda was one of the first to make House and Acid House the soundtrack to many of its memorable parties. Manchester past, present and future will always be Manchester. The Rex Club could not resist rending homage to this Manchester scene and welcomes Dave Haslam and Mike Pickering two of the principal figures in the Manchester and in fact the UK house music scene – and along with DJ Paulette welcomes three of the residents of the mythical club where Laurent Garnier made his first moves as a DJ.
The party will be preceded by the avant-premiere of ‘Manchester Keeps Dancing’.

Le fameux club « The Hacienda » sera l’un des tous premiers à faire de la House et de l’Acid House la bande son de soirées devenues mémorables. Manchester, passé, présent et futur restera toujours Manchester. Le Rex club ne pouvait pas passer à côté d’un homage à la scène mancunienne, en recevant deux des principaux acteurs/résidents de ce club mythique où Laurent Garnier à fait ses premières armes de DJ.
