Sweltering in the current heat, I remembered Spike Lee’s ‘Do The Right Thing’ and thought ‘why not share some of my favourite black music from movie soundtracks for my show on Worldwide FM?’. So this is what I’ve done.
For July’s second Reform Radio Takeover (yes to those five week months) – my guest mix controls were blessed by Henriquez – one of the residents for the mighty Mancunians – Zutekh. It’s a beautifully eclectic mix which is deep, techy and electronic and I am sure you will show him plenty of love with the listens!

16 October 2020 I had the good fortune to sit at the table with a BBC 1Xtra presenter par excellence. the incredible Jamz Supernova. I sat in on her ‘Distant Dialogues’ special on the British Council’s ‘Selector Radio’ and this is what it sounded like.

I am always getting stopped in the street by people who were at the Black Coffee party at Mint Lounge in Manchester. I smashed the party that night and this is the closing set that did the damage (I played an equally well received, marvellous and eclectic opening set that sadly wasn’t recorded). I topped and tailed the headliners – Black Coffee – and Themba on May 6th 2018. The mix was a front page, featured ‘Mix Of The Month’ on the Evermix site (when they featured DJ mixes) and I was super proud of that.
Blimey O Reilly … Crikey!! This is amazing!! The Massey and Paulette Project brought it to the runway and represented perfectly, closing Supernature’s 3rd Birthday at Underdog in Manchester with this bouncing beauty of a set.
