February is all about high notes, high spots and high rollers as I work my way around the metropolis, sprinkling my disco and house fairy dust on the twinkle toes of all who dare to dance.
Catch me if you can – I’m a wriggler …
Friday 9th February
Saturday 10th February
Kicking off the shenanigans with a post shopping, pre-Albert Hall pre-party for La Discotheque at Gorilla with one of my favourite persons, Jamie Bull. I’m playing drive time. Catch me here from 6-7pm.
Then it’s over the the Manchester Academy for 24 carat choreography, death drops and crisp, sublime shapes at the House of Suarez Vogue Ball. It’s part of the Queer Contact Season and I’m playing at the after party from 11pm -1am
Then it’s pedal to the metal back to The Albert Hall to close the Pisscotheque – yes you read that correctly. I’ll be holding court with a selection of disco beasts and bangers in the glammed up toilets of the Albert Hall whilst Cassius and Prosumer are smashing the ‘La Discotheque’ main floor to pieces and Jamie Bull and Will Tramp (Homoelectric) are taking everyone in the VIP Loft to disco and house heaven. It’s a three ringed circus, with fun and frolics for everyone. I’m playing from 1.30 till 4am.
Sunday 11th February
Rest your weary head at Albert Schloss’ Sunday Service. I’ll be hosting the brunch session accompanied by the spiritual, uplifting sounds of the amazing AMC Gospel Choir. Will Tramp ramps up your evening with a stage show that’s a masterclass in turntablism. We don’t mess.
Wednesday 14th February
Join me in the ex section of this Anti-Valentine’s Day rave up as I am playing my first ever session at ‘Will You Be My Bloody Valentine’ at The Deaf Institute. Disco? Yes. House? Yes. Fancy Dress? If you feel so moved. What’s not to love except love and Hallmark cards (or the lack of it). Come and party. F*ck Valentine’s Day.
Saturday February 17th
I’ll be folle d’amour and raising temperatures with my musical love letters at Love Is the Message at The Refuge. I’ll be playing in the decadent Public Bar from 8pm – 1am
Then roll with me along Oxford Street all the way to Peter Street and the Albert Hall for Brutus Gold’s ‘Love Boutique’. I’ll be closing the party with anthems of the arms aloft variety from 01.30 – 04am.
And if that’s not made you want to book this Monday and the next off sick, then I must try harder.
More to come for the end of February but I’ll save that for next week’s post. See you on the dancefloor, baby.
