Last week and last playlist from #Homebird at The Lowry via Spotify – it’s 2016 – The Next Decade. So I’ve arrived back in Manchester to help with the round the clock care needed for my mum. I think I might give up dj’ing. For a second. My twin Paula Burdess is a BBC Radio 1Xtra addict – we go to Parklife. My nieces and nephews are Unity heads and Worldwide heads and my family are still bang into music and gigs and discovering and crate digging and I get to cherry pick from everyone all over again. My family come out when I am dj’ing – safe. I start working for Gaydio and Reform Radio. I play for Gaydio at Manchester Pride. I dj all over the place from Albert’s Schloss and Tariff and Dale to The Refuge, Homoelectric and Hidden. And then there’s music that I love that has nothing to do with house or techno. And then there’s house and techno… and the future? Who knows. Homebird has flown the coop.
