London. January 3rd. Happy New Year.
I was up with the larks as I had a mad early call time at Broadcasting House. Just as I came out of make up at 8am my BBC News interview was cancelled due to Trump’s activities in Baghdad so I was no longer needed. Disappointed and – once I had returned my ID – with nowhere to go until my train at 2pm, I started trudging around London aimlessly in the freezing cold. Eventually I found an open LEON in Soho, bought my solitary breakfast, plugged in my phone and started scrolling through my Instagram feed as I ate. It was a relief finding somewhere warm and welcoming to sit and plot up for a while.
My whole aspect changed when I saw this post. It’s such a massive boost when someone you love, respect and look up to as a maverick and a game changer says nice things about you.
I have a lot of love for Luke, Justin and all the Homoelectric family – so I am buzzing to have been chosen to play alongside my friends and family at the first Homoelectric of the year at Hidden on February the 8th.
Thank you Luke Unabomber and Homoelectric – you brought the sun out on a well moody day.
