DJ Paulette, has been nominated BEST FEMALE DJ for the second time running at the NRJ DJ AWARDS (2013 & 2014) alongside NERVO and NIKKI BELUCCI. She was chosen to perform alongside DJ AFROJACK at the official NRJ after-party in 2013. Paulette was also nominated and won in the category of BEST FEMALE DJ at the BURN FG DJ AWARDS in 2008 and 2010.
With her NEW WEEKLY RADIO RESIDENCIES: Virgin Radio (France), Radio Hit (Egypt), Radio FG (USA), and Radio FG (Mexico), Paulette continues to show why she is one of the most loved and respected female DJ’s of this decade.
CLUBBING, MODELLING and DANCING in the heart of Manchester, Paulette started her career off by becoming the resident DJ at NO1 CLUB, and then became the first female resident DJ at the legendary club HACIENDA andFLESH NIGHT (1991 – 1995). She then moved to LONDON to take on residencies at REACT RECORDS’, the legendary GARAGE, and ZAP CLUB at BRIGHTON (where CARL COX was also resident).
Paulette’s career took a giant leap forward after performing at well-known nightclubs, on the radio and TV all around the world. To mention a few: GRANADA TV, CHANNEL 4, MTV, ESSENTIAL MIX ON RADIO 1, KISS FM,THE MINISTRY OF SOUND CLUB and WORLD TOUR, MINISTRY RADIO, HEAVEN, THE CROSS,TURNMILLS, FABRIC, NEIGHBOURHOOD, THE END and PACHA (UK) to the QUEEN CLUB in PARIS andCENTRO FLY in NEW YORK. She was then placed in the TOP 100 DJ’s (DJ MAG).
In 2004 she decided to take her ambition and love for music to France. Once there, Paulette’s goal was to become a star in PARIS. She quickly became the resident DJ at REDLIGHT and MIX CLUB (2005). She then became the International Consultant at Radio FG and later made musical selections for DAVID GUETTA as well as performing live alongside him.
Paulette performed at the SOLIDAYS in May 2005, the NUIT DU ZAPPING in Bercy in 2006, the CYBERNIGHTin Annency in April 2007. She appeared annually at the biggest electro festival in France: the TECHNO PARADE and the MARCHE DES FIERTES. She performed for the FETE DE LA MUSIQUE with RADIO FG in Paris (2009) then at the LA FOIRE AUX VINS de COLMAR alongside DAVID GUETTA. Paulette headlined at some of the biggest clubs in France such as l’Amnésia (Cap D’Agde), Le LC (Nantes), L’Inox (Toulouse), Le 4Sans & La Plage (Bordeaux), La Villa Rouge (Montpellier), Les Planches (Deauville), La Joia (Aix En Provence).
She released her first track ‘DON’T STOP’ in 2014 on BK RECORDS, and worked on the vocal for CLOSE TO ME – released by TOMMY BOY US 2013. Her remixes of ELTON JOHN VS PNAU, DJ SNEAK AND BRIGHT BRIGHT MACHINES were in the DMC BUZZ CHARTS. She stormed the British Deep House scene with her show DJ PAULETTE GOES BANG at the Hotel Es Vive (IBIZA), at Agités, 4 Elements in Paris and on the 20/22 at NQ in Manchester.
She moved to Ibiza in 2013 and became resident DJ on rotation at VISTA CLUB (PRIVILEGE) and GUEST DJ onIBIZA SONICA. She also performed at the EDEN (PACHA) alongside DUKE DUMONT, and hosted her own weekly party “PAULETTE GOES BANG” every month toogether with DATA TRANSMISSION AT ITACA (San Antonio). She curated and mixed the deep house CD of PRIVILEGE IBIZA 2013 along with MARTIN GARRIXand SEM VOX. This year’s TV Program CHERIE25 (France) made a documentary focusing on her career and lifestyle in Ibiza.
Paulette demonstrates her ability to get the crowd going with her ELECTRO HOUSE, JACKING DEEP toROCKING HOUSE sets. She currently writes weekly reviews and short features for DMC World Online Magazine. She has garnered two awards as Best DJ and received two GOLD DISCS for her managerial / creative role in DANCE MUSIC with MERCURY RECORDS. Paulette was also a Director of Publicity and Promotions for DEFECTED RECORDS and AZULI RECORDS (1998 – 2000). After 21 years of DJ’ing around the world and working in the music industry, Paulette’s enthusiasm, passion and love for EDM burns brighter still.
