Next stop on my journey around the world for International Women’s month (because a day is nowhere near enough time to show all the women who influence and inspire us some love) is Manchester. In this episode I celebrate the Divine Feminine version 2.0.2.1 with a true Manchester legend, celebrity, singer, Manchester United fan, dog lover and my HEAR HEAR INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S MONTH ICON – ROWETTA (MCR, UK). She’s a Proper Mancunian with a heart of gold and I’m honoured to have gained an audience with this absolute Queen.

In this interview we connect our birth hospital and hometown dots, talk about ambition, support and the lack of it, tackle resilience through life, domestic abuse, the music industry, streaming and thriving despite the pandemic. I get the lowdown on life with the Happy Mondays, look to the future post-lockdown and mull over what it is to be truly international. It’s real, personal and raw and we touch on topics (drug use, domestic violence) that could cause distress.

HEAR HEAR to Rowetta’s high octane stream of consciousness.
