I’m closing off the month in Manchester with two very different parties but both dear to my heart.
GET SOBER, STAY FRESH, KEEP MOVING
I make no secret about my teetotal status and it is heartening to see that the clubs / bars and brewers etc are getting positively behind non-drinkers here in Manchester. Join us for a free daytime festival at Wilson’s Social The Low & No Festival – Free Entry on Saturday January 25th from midday till 5pm. Come and sample some of the finest low and non-alcoholic brands, listen to some funky tunes and join the debate alongside some pioneers in the sober movement, offering entertainment, art and cultural events for all. We hope you will make your home here. If you’re going dry for January or dry any month that ends in not drinking alcohol, looking to change for a fitter, healthier life, or if you’re always the one who is the designated driver (just for one night), Low & No has the tea … and a lot of other options too! I’m honoured to be a part of it.
42-44 Oldham St, M1 1 Manchester, United Kingdom
Doors 12pm – 5pm
I’ll be dj’ing and joining the panel – bring your questions, opinions, ideas and your dancing feet.
Then after a little breather and something to eat somewhere nice, you can find me at another of my home from homes – The Pen and Pencil on Hilton Street for seven hours of house party disco, funk, rare groove and whatever takes my fancy. It’s uplifting, it’s fun and it’s free. What’s not to love?
See you there!
