100 DJs showed up #ForBeirut virtual festival for 12 hours non stop music across multiple rooms with @electroniclaborday 💚 @beatport. I am proud to have represented for Manchester.
Over three beautiful days in August, the battle cry was ‘don’t let the virus get you down’ as We Out Here Festival and Reform Radio showed everybody how it’s done, provided the online, underground contrast, powerful political platform and the shining stage for talks, djs, artists and screenings for all that’s good from Manchester to London and around the world too.
Remember how the summer passed in the blink of an eye? At least we had the We Out Here festival to soundtrack the end of the month with music, talks and live jams from all over the world.

In response to the Music Industry’s Black Out Tuesday and Black Lives Matter, Gilles Peterson programme for Stay Home, Rave Safe on 6Music and his Saturday session became CLUB UNITY – a space for reflection, education and celebration through black music. You can listen here for the next 20 days.
It’s been an intense few weeks finding black people and people of colour landed squarely in the middle of another pandemic – racism. Something has to give. Something has to change. When conversation fails me, I turn to poetry. Here’s a poem I wrote earlier about some of my experiences – it’s not finished yet. I will continue to tweak until it’s right.

It was the glitziest, sparkliest affair and this is what the stage looked like when I took over from Rob Da Bank.
On the 28th of April – a friend of mine (Facebook pseudo Candy Mac Crevure) messaged me to say that she had suggested me as a guest on Joachim Garraud’s daily show online. That same day I received an email from Joachim himself to set the date. Here is the result.
